DRI

What's yer favorite DRI record?
I've had them on in the car the last few days.
Reminds me of being 14 again.
Ah the days of my youth.

Im sure my opinion wont be the popular one, but I really like Thrash Zone. Dirty Rotten LP / Violent Pacification is my second favorite.

tireironsaint - 10-3-2008 at 08:56 AM

Dealing with it has always been my favorite, with Dirty Rotten LP running a close second.

panzerkreuzer - 10-3-2008 at 09:16 AM

Dirty Rotten LP / Violent Pacification is my favourite. the sound is better than the dealing with it recording.
the both live dvds are really good too.
the problem i have with their later records is the songs are too long. i donīt need 4 min songs if the band has said everything after 2 min.

clevohardcore - 10-3-2008 at 09:32 AM

Everything is good up to THRASHZONE and that is the best in my opinion. That record has everything for every style they encountered. The first thing I ever heard was the DIRTY ROTTEN EP by this old skate dude who was into punk. I was 11 and it was 1987 or so. Thought what the hell is that? Then I heard GBH and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CIRCLE JERKS. It was down hill form that point on. 4 of a kind is awesome hell, they all are. I just remember THRASHZONE and skating and really really having a great time back then. Plus going to shows.

Not to mention they named the record THRASH ZONE. You have to give them major credit because that is so fucking corny yet they pull it off and make it cool.

That being said I want to get CROSSOVER and DEFINITION on cd. Hard to find them.

Dealing With It. I am going to see Kurt's other band "Junker" Saturday night. They are playing a secret show under the name Krud Kudder.

SS76 - 10-3-2008 at 11:47 AM

gotta go with Thrash Zone. I also really liked definition and full speed ahead. The early stuff does nothing for me.

Discipline - 10-3-2008 at 12:21 PM

Dealing With It tops the list for me, but I love just about everything they've put out.

Dave - 10-3-2008 at 12:27 PM

tough call the first will always have a place in my heart, but i'd say 4 of a kind and or trash zone

4 of a kind for me.
probably cus its the first record i got from them when it had just come out. i still love it.
i saw them a few times back in the day.
once with sick of it all when i was like 14.
that show may have been what changed my musical direction at the time.
sick of it all was pretty awesome.

Discipline - 10-4-2008 at 12:40 PM

I'm pissed that they're banned from Canada because 2 of the band members got nailed for DUI's like 20 years ago. Thankfully I've seen them down in the U.S.

MarkV - 10-4-2008 at 01:32 PM

I tried to find Thrash Zone online earlier this year (emusic and Itunes) and couldn't find it.
