DaveMoral - 10-7-2009 at 08:12 PM

^Haha. Thanks. Bought a 160 gig iPod with gift cash.

ShawnRefuse - 10-7-2009 at 08:16 PM

nice. I need a new ipod. My phone is cool but doesn't hold much. Happy b-day dave!!

DAK - 10-7-2009 at 08:29 PM

I have a 160gb ipod too. I wish they made a higher gb version.

DaveMoral - 10-7-2009 at 11:34 PM

Haha. They are so gearing up for the iPod touch to knock out the classic, and that thing's only got 8 gigs. I'm still working on importing all my music to iTunes, I'm not even a quarter of the way filled up on the iPod, so it's all good. Too bad they don't include the Fm tuner like the new Nano has though.

BDx13 - 10-8-2009 at 08:46 AM

i think ther'll hold on to the classic for a while. they're moving to solid state disk storage, but that shit is too expensive to offer in large volume. so for the time, they'll keep the traditional high-capacity and less expensive drives in the classic.

the fm tuner is nice. i bought my wife a nano last year for christmas and i gotta say this is one of the few times i'm bummed i didn't wait. she woulda liked getting radio on there, too.

lifeisabitch - 10-8-2009 at 10:56 AM

happy birthday dave

Funny that Apple is behind on that one though. Zune has had it for a while and are coming out with HD radio versions.

they're rarely about loading up on excess features.
it's the overall usability they care about.

there's talk about how they're working on a table computer - kinda like a big ipod touch - but stories talk about how they've actually developed numerous versions over the past decade, only to have them scrapped after years of work by jobs for one reason or the other.

ShawnRefuse - 10-9-2009 at 07:27 AM

Microsoft Surface is like a giant table iPhone. I think they should make a tablet/laptop with touch screen. I'd buy one.

JawnDiablo - 10-9-2009 at 07:46 AM

happy birthday dude....make it a good one that lasts a few days

Speaking of iPods. I was at Fred Meyer this afternoon and saw a USB turntable specifically made to be compatible with the iPod/iTunes. There's some seriously cool shit out there.
