New GMM Records? Another Beer Olympics?

random - 3-11-2011 at 07:06 PM

Just checked the email account that the Pure Impact newsletter goes to. Had this little gem:

As you know, STORMWATCH has a 20 year discography CD coming out this year. The band will be playing a number of shows as well beginning in the spring. In the meantime they now have 2 different shirts for sale. Go to the below link to view them and alot of other Oi! and HC shirts. Shopshogun are now also the new owners of GMM Records. They are also relaunching the Beer Olympics festival late this summer with quite possibly, the sickest line up of any fests, lots of UK bands and lots of reunions. www.shopshogun.com/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_i...

Anyone know anything about this? Link just takes you to two Stormwatch t-shirts, but no mention of a new festival. I might have to book some tickets back to the US for this, and it sounds like it might merit a Thorp Warriors weekend.

Keep your ears/eyes open...It's Pete Morcey (Forced Reality) & Co, putting this together...If all goes as planned, you WILL want to be there...

I can't speak on it until it's confirmed...But,if it all comes together,it's going to be MAJOR.

Much as I hate not knowing what's going on, I'm getting pretty fucking excited about this.

September 3rd and 4th at the Webster in Hartford, CT

Dennis Mc - 5-2-2011 at 08:37 PM

May 1st has come and gone and no line up posted.

BDx13 - 5-2-2011 at 09:51 PM

they're waiting to get 1000 fans on facebook.

Mark Lind - 5-2-2011 at 10:45 PM

If I could find them on Facebook then I'd consider liking them.

Considering that my brother, Rob, asked me if Ducky Boys would like to play this then I'm guessing Blood for Blood is on it. I mean..... how else would Rob be aware of anything not going on in his living room. He did mention one other band that was confirmed but I don't think it will be a surprise to anyone that can read between lines.

Incidentally, I declined it for Ducky Boys so we're not on there. :)

Website is up but without line-up. http://2000tonsoftnt.com/

Mark, I'm guessing you mean Sheer Terror or Forced Reality with the read between the lines comment?

I found a rumor that mentioned...

Quote:

Evil Conduct, the Cro-Mags, Patriot, Forced Reality, the Last Resort, Pist N Broke, Control, Sheer Terror, Section 5, maybe legendary New York Oi band The Press (who’d have to come out of retirement for it), possibly Infa Riot, possibly even the Rejects.

BDx13 - 5-2-2011 at 11:39 PM

i'd go for evil conduct alone.

Vanilla Gorilla - 5-3-2011 at 08:23 AM
