BD the half-way mark is something to be very proud of. It just re-enforces your ability to acheive the other half of the goal. Keep us updated.

lost five pounds the first week.
this monday marks week two.
we had a bunch of peopel over for a party today, so i did have three newcastles, but surprisingly maintained the no red meat/cheese/soda. back on the program tomorrow.

Wonderful news. Manageable amounts of lost weight is a great way to go. Keep us posted Dude.

Also, how is your body doing with the walking? Anything else you are noticing like increased energy/appetite/better sleep?

These are things you should try and keep an eye on. I know that you are a big fan of stretching too. That is crucial if you starting up an exercise regimen.

Once you get through this time period of a month, are we going here about you jogging? Then a 5k and eventually drinking the kool-aid of marathon training?

Congrats on your success.

only dropped another two pounds the second week. no problem.
weather has been kinda crappy, so while i have gotten in the swimming as scheduled, the walking has been every other day at best.
no isssues with that, though.
there will, however, be NO running!

Give yourself some time, running will come up. C'mon, you can do it. BD whispers to self, "Alright feet and knees, I hate you and you hate me. Let's run this shit."

Great news on the weightloss Bud. Go get 'em.

BDx13 - 7-31-2007 at 07:14 AM

There are ways to eat as much as you feel like and still obtain a calorie deficit. It involves a raw nutritional approach. Because fruits and vegetables have a high volume to calories ratio, you can eat as much as you want and probably still be under your caloric intake, especially when combined with exercise.

The trick is learning how to eat sufficient fruits and vegetables so that you don't feel hungry enough to have that big mac. I have written some articles on raw eating, so let me know if you are interested in learning more. Athletes who turn to this often have their best recovery times ever.

BTW, I can tell you how you can take care of the arthritis too. It takes willpower for awhile, but when the benefits start coming in, it gets easier ;)
