nirvana
I remember when they were hated and dissed by all along with the style of music. Now they are celebrated.
I got the unplugged dvd. Good stuff.

I bought the Unplugged DVD for my mom for christmas. I always liked Nirvana, but I liked alot of the 'seattle stuff'. More so the Melvins, Tad,
Soundgarden than the stuff like Pearl Jam.
Incesticide is my favorite Nirvana stuff.

I'll always pass on them. I lump them in with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and the rest. I don't enjoy any of it.

Terrible band and MASSIVELY overrated. I do find it amusing that people claim that dead junkie as the voice of their generation. His lyrics are
nonsense that only occasionally work themselves into something that might mean something, but could easily mean any number of other things.

Was TAD really a classically trained musician? I heard he was a music genious or something.

I always loved Nirvana. I always thought they sounded way different from all the other Seattle stuff. I hated the Pearl Jam sound and never could get
into Soundgarden either. I think Murder City Devils are from there (?) - I always really loved that band, but of course they didn't have anything to
do with "grunge" really. Kinda like Rollins on vocals meets metal'ed up garage rock or something.
But Nirvana, I love just about everything they did. No 2 albums of theirs sounded the same really, they sorta had their own vibe. I didn't like "In
Utero" as much as the others when it came out, prob. due to Albini's production, which is hit/miss with me (man did he do a killer job on High On
Fire's "Blessed Black Wings" album, that fucking album SMOKES) but I threw it on a few months back and was really into it.
Shit, I thought Hole's "Live Through This" album kicked all kinds of ass - I think it's every bit as good if not even better than "Nevermind".

this show was at a place called the middle east which usedto be on chestnut street between front and 2nd. they were opening for clutch. after the
altercation, a riot ensued between the ACs and the security which was a bunch of big thickneckd black dudes. Clutch never got to play. I didn't see
them at the troc though. I had Infared Riding Hood but it's not here I wanted to
listen to it again after the mention of TAD

S.F.A. said all about nirvana
I Killed Kurt
I killed Kurt, I shot him dead
I put that gun up to his head
I pulled the trigger, took his life
I made it look like suicide
I did it for the good of all mankind
I can't stand to hear a rich junkie whine
I blew his brains all over the floor
Oh well, whatever, nevermind
No more grunge rock
No more headache
No more rock star
Now he's worm food
No more Nirvana, or whiny emo songs
I sent you back to hell, back to hell where you belong
I'm glad I blew your brains out, I'm glad I took your life
I just wish you could be around to see me kill your wife

That used drive me nuts. Nevermind came out when I was in grade 9 or 10, and everybody starting saying it was the greatest thing ever and Cobain was
the voice of my generation. No fucking junkie has ever spoken for me, and no junkie ever will.
