Boycott christian hardcore
What has happened to us? We are allowing our scene to be overrun by a group of people whose values are the exact opposite of our own: christian
fundamentalists. At first just a curiosity, christian hardcore is spreading into every aspect of the scene: not only are there christian labels and
bands, but christian bands get signed by regular hardcore labels, they play shows with hardcore bands and are reviewed in hardcore zines, often
without any mention of their true nature. When hardcore was originally conceived more than 20 years ago, this would have been unthinkable. We have
forgotten that hardcore is a subculture, an alternative to the mainstream that includes the kind of people who are now pushing their way into the
scene: ultra-conservatives from the religious right. We are just sitting by and letting them in, because we are supposed to be tolerant and because
sometimes their music sounds good. But all they do is copy an empty form, without the positive values and attitude intrinsic to hardcore. The only
purpose of christian music is to spread christian beliefs and to gain new converts. In this case, tolerance is a mistake that could bring about the
demise of the scene. It is not a characteristic of born again christians to leave you alone. They will continue to expand and if we just stand by, old
hardcore will be gone. When have we stopped caring about hardcore? Take a stand now.
Hardcore kids, do not buy christian CDs, do not wear christian T-shirts and do not go to christian shows. Hardcore labels, do not sign christian
bands. Hardcore bands, do not play with christian bands. Hardcore zines, do not review christian releases. Boycott christian hardcore.

i agree with the shittyness of christian hardcore.. but there are some decent bands who dont preach and you'd only know them as christian from there
cd insets.. comeback kid for example.. now i know im gonna catch shit for saying that i like them but fuck it and fuck you cause they bring a lot of
energy to shows and there songs are all decent for the most part.

Woman's skull crushed by falling crucifix

Rome - An elderly woman has died in Italy after being struck by a three-metre-tall metal crucifix, the Ansa news agency reported on Wednesday.
The accident took place in the southern town of Sant'Onofrio.
The victim, 67-year-old Maddalena Camillo was walking through the main square of the town when a monument positioned in the centre of the square fell
over, smashing her skull.
Investigators believe the 100-year-old crucifix may have fallen as a result of work being carried out in preparation of a religious festival honouring
the town's patron saint and scheduled to take place on Sunday.
