fill this in peeps ..

I'm just wondering if I am the youngest person here who has been going to shows for the least amount of time ...

so can everyone do me a favour and tell me how old they are and the first show they went to.

I'm just interested in the demographic of this board, it seems (juding by the stories people tell on here) everyone here has been into punk, hardcore or whatever for a lot longer than me.

I'm 21, first show was in november 1998 ... just local bands.

Your turn ....

I'm 24. My first concert was Kiss when I was around 9, with Faster Pussycat and Slaughter. Needless to say I have cool parents. First hardcore/punk show I think was All. I'm not too sure on the year, 1993 maybe. I was listened to the music for awhile before I even knew what shows were honestly, and then that show totally made me love seeing punk and hardcore music in a live setting.

Im 25, and my first concert was Nine Inch Nails in 95 or 96 when they toured with David Bowie. I won the tickets on the radio and my mother let me go. If it werent for that, Im not sure when my parents would have let me go to a concert. They were pretty protective of me.

I didnt really get into hardcore or metalcore type stuff until late 97, and I didnt go to my first show until 98 I think. It was a Stillborn Fest at the El N Gee in New London, CT. I got a great introduction to hardcore. Some guy came running across the pit and slammed into me like a linebacker which sent me flying into the merch tables. Pretty sweet.

I was at the Life of Agony/Buzzoven show. I always thought one of the guys from Christ was spraying the mace.
Buzzoven was great..singer was breaking beer bottles and jabbing himself in the forehead.

I have no idea what's in that place now. It was a steak restaurant catering to the $$$ crowd for a while. I saw Stinking Lizavetta in there in 2000 or so upstairs and there was some high falootin place downstairs.
Upstairs at Nicks was cool too. The beer was cheap as hell and they had a big Ramones rocket to russia thing painted on the one side,
