They're on "Born and Bred," which is a vanity label from Warner. So... they're on Warner. And this just sounds like shitty pop punk with a tin
whistle. The tin whistle doesn't offset the shittiness at all, and may even add to it, if only because you know it's considered "innovative."

It looks like I'm in the minority here. I think it's a great song (though I agree that it's pop punk with a tin whistle). It sounds like a potential
hit to me. Something needs to replace that Shipping Up to Boston song in their repertoire. Ken told me last night that Bruce Springsteen makes an
appearance on the new record which is intriguing to me.
Born and Bred is their own label. There is a division of Warner that distributes records for bands that have gone independent. In all likelihood they
probably manufacture and distribute and take a cut but it is an indie label for all intents and purposes; they call their own shots and could probably
sign bands to their label if they came across the right artists. It's the same organization that Shadows Fall and Lucero are working with if I recall.
You gotta be a big band to be involved in it though because (I think) they all foot the cost of their own advertising and of course the recording.
I can't remember the last time I heard a punk rock song that moved me on initial listen but this one really caught my ear. All of my favorite punk
bands have been letting me down in recent years so I'm hopeful that I can be hopeful on this release.

yeah I am not going to judge the record on this one song.
I am hopeful, and I actually like the idea that it is a concept album. They are at the point where they can have fun with shit and if it fails, they
will go back to their roots and put out the next one with rocking songs.
I am not a fan of this song but it's the use of vocals that is throwing me off. The doubling up on a slow song feels out of place.
Then again I don't like the new Social D album for the same reason. I like things to be simple.
