slayer at their worst
I honestly can't say I've ever been a huge Slayer fan, and this certainly doesn't change my mind.

Dear god, that was awful.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

Hahaha I bet the studio version on the album sounds much better, Tom was straining on vocals like they just finished 5 world tours in a row lol.
Undisputed Attitude is still my favourite Slayer album & most of the tracks are covers. I wanna hear the recorded version of this
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I really don't see that as any worse than usual for them. Absolutely one of the worst bands ever. Right up there with Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd for
mind numbingly boring bullshit. There's not a single thing I can understand about the so called appeal of that band. Their covers of good songs are on
par with that album of covers that Ian Stuart released.

Wow, a lot of Slayer hatred on here....
SHAME!
Actually, I am a huge fan of the band, but if they broke up tomorrow, I'd be ok with it.
They made their mark for LIFE and (almost) never sold out. I say "almost" because of the abomination known as "Stain of Mind" aka THE WORST SLAYER
SONG EVER.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

They're the biggest sell outs in all of metal outside of Metallica. While they were amazing musically in their prime the large part of slayers impact
and legacy was the extreme imagery and lyrics.
Lyrics that Tom Arraya dismisses as an act to shock..."god doesn't hate anybody, it was just a cool title" I don't care if someone believes in god or
doesn't believe in god but your lyrics are your word and to quote the mighty Phil leotardo...
"It either means somthing or it doesn't mean anything"
Their legacy is forever tarnished to me.

Kerry is the prime lyric & music writer, I'm sure if you asked him he'd say he believes & it comes from the heart. Tom has found god recently lol.

Not really...maybe in the past couple years (I havent looked at a slayer lyric sheet in 15 years probably)...looking at the old lyrics they each wrote
their share, Araya, King and Hanneman.

Jason, I see your point.
Makes me look at them much differently.
It is sad to read Tom say stuff like that, especially since Slayer continues to write lyrics in the same style. I'm glad Kerry is a man of his word,
so to speak.
All of the following bands "re-neged" on Satan and were never the same if you ask me:
- Slayer
- Candiria (they were amazing when they sang about Satan, before the rap-crap)
- Morbid Angel ( after David Vincent left, do did Satan and do did good lyrics and songs)

I'm gonna listen to Seasons In The Abyss, South of Heaven & Hell Awaits on the ride to work this morning to celebrate a wicked band

Sellouts or not, fake satanists or not, at no point in their career have they done a single thing I will voluntarily subject myself to. This band is
EXACTLY what I'm talking about when I say I fucking HATE metal. A good friend of mine once offered to buy me a ticket to their show, drive me to and
from the show, and give me 20 bucks and I refused to go. You literally cannot pay me to see this horrible fucking band.

For best fake live album I've got to go with "The Origin of the Feces" by Type O Negative.
