Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

How fat is the thorp board?

XHonusWagnerX - 12-29-2005 at 02:16 PM

with all the talk about new years resolutions, losing weight, getting in shape, eating better, exercising and stuff I was wondering how heavy everyone on the board actually is.

GabeTexasGAMC - 12-29-2005 at 02:27 PM

yeaaaaaaaaaaa
fat!
Im actually going to cut a shit load of stuff out of my diet this year.
I feel like shit, and i dont have that little spring to my step anymore.

XnMeX - 12-29-2005 at 02:29 PM

Who else is in the 401-450 group with me? I am between 435 and 450 (haven't checked in quite some time).

JawnDiablo - 12-29-2005 at 02:31 PM

oh shit!

BDx13 - 12-29-2005 at 02:46 PM

i was at about 270 before the holidays, so i suppose a little higher by now. being 6'4" helps spread the weight out a bit, but in all honesty, my knees and feet hurt every day. it's clear my body can't continue like this; something needs to be done.

CR83 - 12-29-2005 at 03:41 PM

Go Thorp Board! We can do it. This is awesome if so many people unite and loose weight. I have new Nutrition Info and Workout routines for beginners to intermediates I can type up and get out here (All From the Men's Health Abs Diet Book I'm reading). Who's in?!

UNITY!!!

eating and quantity of food is my biggest problem. Its also a comfort when Im down, but Im up for trying.

moron - 12-29-2005 at 05:15 PM

Im about 165-170. I would mind working my way back towards 150 though. That's where I was in college, and I assume it's more of my natural weight (when Im more active at least). Thinking about it though... all I really need to do is make sure that I fit into the suit I bought for my wedding, and the waist on that baby is 33 at the moment. Apparently the most they can be expanded is 1/2 inch, but I'd like to avoid that. Right now.... theyre snug, but not tight.

BDx13 - 12-29-2005 at 05:22 PM

obscene portions and lack of exercise, that's me.

moron, i think i was 12 the last time i fit into 33s.

moron - 12-29-2005 at 05:35 PM

Ive always been smaller. In high school I wore a 29. Im just recently moving onto 33/34, and since I was sick for 2+ weeks those have a bit more room to them now. My father has a bunch of 36 and 38 waist pants he's been waiting to give to me for years now. I tell him not to rush me.

KyleOz - 12-29-2005 at 06:21 PM

I am a chubba lumpkins

BDx13 - 12-29-2005 at 06:22 PM

oz, you in for this little project?

KyleOz - 12-29-2005 at 06:24 PM

If I can stop drinking beers and puerto rican egg nog, sure why not.

DAK - 12-29-2005 at 06:37 PM

I am fat.

BDx13 - 12-29-2005 at 06:46 PM

i wanna see everyone of you chub rockers get in on this shit!!!

BDx13 - 12-29-2005 at 06:49 PM

you know what's kinda scary... even with my height and my big-boned-ness, at 270 i am technically obese. that's a scary fucking word. 'over weight', 'fat', husky'... those are all very acceptable terms, but 'obese' is pretty rough.

tireironsaint - 12-29-2005 at 06:50 PM

I'm at 223 right now, I was weighin' in at 265 when I left Austin. I feel a LOT better, but I'm obviously not where I need to be yet. I would LOVE to drop down below 200. I honestly can't remember when I crossed that line, I know the most I weighed back in High School was about 170, but that was a looooong time ago and I was still a couple inches shorter than I am now (weird late growth spurt). I don't ever expect to get down that low, I'd probably look really strange if I did, but I'd say 185-195 would suit me just fine.

Spoiler - 12-29-2005 at 09:39 PM

I'm a skinny lil fucker,5' 6" 145 lbs....I never gain weight....but I am getting a beer gut....whats the best way to get rid of a beer belly without quiting drinking ??? sit ups ???

Dave - 12-29-2005 at 10:55 PM

i'm about 225-230Ibs right now, coming in at 6'2" it's not that bad but i wouldn't mind getting down to around 200-205Ibs.

unfortunately no, sit ups won't get rid of a gut no matter how many you do. it'll build muscle underneath the fat. lots of cardio and changing your eating habits is the way to go.

Lucabrasi - 12-30-2005 at 12:05 AM

^^^^ I am with you on that HONUS. Food is the one thing that doesn't argue and talk back and it makes you feel good. I got ot get over that bullshit though cause its killing me. I got to be a man and quit looking for food to comfort me. My wife should be doing that. Or that hot chick at Kaufmann's I saw over the holidays. HAHAHAHAHA!

clevohardcore - 12-30-2005 at 01:00 AM

We need to keep this thread and poll.

If this is on we could use it to check progress. Everyone will need video or at the very least pitcures.

MyOwnWay - 12-30-2005 at 01:17 AM

I weight almost 200pnds. 5'11"

I drink too much and love food.

I'll watch from the sidelines fellas.
